PARAMETERS

The International Glass Prize (IGP) is a competition for art, design and craft. This edition explores the technical aspects as well as the conceptual perception of THE PROCESS. Glass – or the reference to glass – should be an essential part of the work. The sculptural work may consist of mixed media without limitations. Also installations, film, performance, photography, painting, printing and jewellery are allowed. The work should lend itself to be installed/presented at the exhibition venue from 5 April to 13 September. The work must have been created in or after 2012. The competition is open to all professional artists, collectives, and designers as well as to students.
There will be no age limit. Every participant may submit up to 3 works which should all be available for the exhibition. A work may not be withdrawn from the exhibition once it has been selected.

APPLICATION
01l09l2014-01l01l2015

Only online and complete applications submitted before 1 January 2015 (00.00CET) will be accepted. The work will be judged on concept, design and execution. The first jury round will be based on the images and the text material of the submitted files. The nominated works will be shipped to display at the exhibition venue. The jury's announcement of the final selection of the winners will be based on the exhibited work. The jury's selection is final. The jury will not provide feedback on the non-selected entries. The selected entries will be published on the website on 23 January 2015.
These artists will receive a personal confirmation of their nominations and detailed information about transport, catalogue, visual material and deadlines. The applicants whose entries are not selected will be notified by e-mail.

EXHIBITION
04l04l2015-13l09l2015

The organization will be responsible for the presentation of the works and the layout of the exhibition. All installation-specific requirements for mounting or placing of the work must be included in the shipment, accompanied by clearly-written instructions and visual material for unpacking, instalment and repackaging of the works. The participants should specify their preference for presentation and lighting. The organization will attempt to comply – within limits – with these wishes.
The jury can reject submitted works for presentation if these do not tally with the selected photo material.
In such case no claim can be laid to the awarded transportation support. The organization will insure all works during the exhibition as well as during the installation and deinstallation periods.
